Overview

When shipping goods to Switzerland, the recipient is required to pay import duties, whether the goods are for personal or commercial use. Switzerland has a minimum duty-free tax, but will waive duties and value-added tax in the following cases:

Shipments to Switzerland with a total value not exceeding CHF 5 are exempt from customs duties.

 Value Added Tax (VAT) is not charged if the total VAT amount does not exceed CHF5.
