Contact SME SHIPPING through various channels, including phone, Line@, Facebook Messenger, or the SME SHIPPING website. Provide details of the goods you wish to ship to India, and we will provide an initial estimate of postal rates to India and inform you of the final price.

If the customer decides to use SME SHIPPING's services, our staff will make a booking for a messenger to pick up the goods from the customer's location.

The messenger picks up the items to be delivered to the customer, explains the details the customer needs to fill out, and then returns them to the company.

Upon arrival of the goods to be shipped, they are weighed, measured, and packaged before being forwarded to the processing department for price calculation and preparation of shipping documents for the customer.

If the customer accepts all the terms, the export process can proceed immediately. However, if the customer encounters problems or wants to make changes to the shipment, the goods will be sent back to the weighing, measuring, and repackaging stage to determine how the price can be adjusted to a level that is satisfactory to the customer.
Depending on the service chosen by the customer and the destination country, for example:
Choosing EXPRESS PREMIUM service will take 2-5 business days for delivery.
Choosing EXPRESS PLUS service will take 5-7 business days for delivery.
Choosing AIRMAIL PLUS service will take 7-30 business days for delivery.
When shipping goods to India, the recipient is required to pay import duties, whether the goods are for personal or commercial use. The assessment method is based on the CIF (Cost, Insurance & Freight) price, which means duties and taxes are calculated on the full value of the imported goods, including the cost of the goods, insurance, and freight. Specifically, duties are calculated from the total CIF price plus landing charges.
However, the duties levied on certain goods depend on the unit of measurement. In addition to duties, shipments to India are subject to other taxes and fees, including landing charges, countervailing duty, CESS, and education CESS.
India levies taxes on goods using either the Ad Valorem (as a percentage of value) or the specific rupees per unit method.
Duty rates vary from 0% to 150%, with an average rate of 11.9%. Some types of goods can be shipped to India duty-free, such as laptop computers and other electronic products.
There will be no sales tax on imported goods shipped to India.
India has no minimum import duty rate; therefore, all goods shipped to India are subject to duty regardless of their value.
Landing charges: (1% CIF)
Countervailing duty (CVD): (0%, 6% or 12% (CIFD + Landing charges))
CESS (Education + Higher Education): 3% (Duty + Countervailing duty)
Additional CVD: 4% (CIFD + Landing charges + Countervailing duty + CESS)
